Kaiser
1946- 1955
The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was incorporated in August 1945. Joseph W. Frazer and Henry J. Kaiser became partners and started up an automobile production line.
They were going to build 2 Kaisers for each Frazer, and these models should still be a Graham Paige produkt.
It was in 1946 sold a total of 144 490 automobiles and in 1948 it was sold 181 316 cars. Except for the Studebaker it was only Kaiser-Frazer which had new models in 1946.
The other car manufacturers had pre-war models with small cosmetic adjustments.
In 1951 a completely new model from this little automobile manufacturer, a unique construction with lower lines and lager glass surfaces than any of the competitors.
Only a total of 146 911 cars were sold of this 1951-model. The customers wanted a V8 engine which this model didnt have, which resulted in a downward spiral in sales.
In 1953 the sales were down in 27 803, and in 1954- 8 979 and in 1955 - it was only sold 1501 cars. In June 1955 the Kaiser adventure was over.
In the period 1946 - 1955 it was produced a total of 469 068 cars under the brandname Kaiser.
