Eight Amcars Club or EAC was founded June 30, 1977 in Sørum, Norway. Sørum is located approximately 40 km northeast of Oslo. The objective of the club is to save and restore as many as possible of the 8 American make of cars that lost the battle against Ford and GM in the years 1946-1966. Pre-war models of all types were attractive collector items, but when we wanted to take care of the "losers" of the post-war make of cars and models, we were quite alone. That was many years before it was possible to pick up hobby-cars from abroad, and quite many of our cars have a Norwegian history. We think it is pleasant to be able to present a collection being unique also by international standards.
