About the club.

The objective of the club is to collect, restore and save as many as possible of the discontinued American make of cars, such as DeSoto, Hudson, Nash, Packard, Studebaker, Kaiser, Frazer, Henry J and Willys (Aero series). We set the limit in years from 1946 to when the respective make of cars went out of production.

The 68 members of the club possess their own cars, but all the cars are given an EAC CAR NO. That is because all the cars from no. 1 to 283 are being photographed and written about in special albums. There you can find the history of the cars, where they were found and in which condition they were etc. All the registered cars are also presented in the club´s picture gallery with its EAC NO. and a small history of the car.

The club is located in our own premises at Knatten in Sørum (ca. 40 km northeast of Oslo), and we have space in our workshop for 17 cars. Our meeting room/day room has seats for 50 people. Most of the club-members are part owners in EAC Property. Our co-operative society was formed in 1997. That was to be able to buy the property we have today.

The objective of the club is as mentioned earlier to save as many as possible of the eight make of cars being cancelled in production, and mostly the ones with a Norwegian history. The club has never had so many members compared to other clubs, but that has been our purpose not being too many. The reason is that we want the cars we take care of in the club are to be owned by the members. This also helps us with the social part within the club, which we see as very important. We think it is nice to know each other, and that we can help each other when it is needed. It is also a premise that all cars are equally exciting and important. It does not matter if it is a Henry J with a small 4-cylinder engine or a Packard with its large V8-engine. Being alone they are just cars, but together they are cultural history!

In addition to the premises at Knatten, we rent storage space for cars having been restored and objects. All together we rent approximately 1500 m². These premises are spread all around at Romerike.
